The Brook Poem   

Liguria, Italy, Spring 2001

The Brook resumes its flow
The Woods vibrate with the new green Life
All is warm, and soft is the ground under my feet
I am Alive

I walk along the Brook as if it were a Path
The water is cold, crystal clear and bubbling
I feel the Spring that is coming back,
and I breathe the smell of the Earth as if it were the only Perfume in the World
Thus, I forget the Winter that makes me suffer, as if awake from a Dream
