LITTLE SPRING DRAWER
Zerbolò. Ticino Natural Park. Pavia.
A spring afternoon of 2002. Walking behind Cascina Venara, to
the Negri Wood.
Near my home, in the Ticino Park, there is the Dark Wood.
A little piece
of
primordial plain saved from the Germany fury, by a… Hero
His name now belongs to the wood.
To visit it, you have to take the path that skirts the river embankment
behind La Venara.
It brings you to the heart of the spring.
The wood is waiting. Secret, sacred, dark, intact.
Pass through it. When you come back, you will be not the same.
